Very poorly managed company.

Pros

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA has the scale to dominate its industry but cannot execute. It is a great employer if you are looking for somewhere to coast.

Cons

Very poorly managed company that understand industry dynamics but can't execute. TKMNA continues to tread water while big competitors like Reliance are eating their lunch.

Pros

Health Insurance, Dental, retirement account.

Cons

Trust is a major issue at this company and was one of the reasons I could no longer work here. The CEO doesn't trust his managers and the managers don't trust their employees and the employees do not trust human resources. It is a very sad yet awkward company to work for. Employee reviews are never on time (in affect that means the minor raise you were hoping for takes 3x as long to get, if you get it). CEO is oblivious to the shift of employee morale (it has never been so bad). Socially awkward environment (unhappy employees yield little or no social environment).

Pros

I work with a great team and have learned a lot throughout my time at TK. I have also been exposed to the functions of other departments and have gained well-rounded experience. Good work/life balance, but this could be due to the division that I am in, management is understanding.

Cons

Compensation is not competitive at all, it's insulting. You could be making thousands of $$ more elsewhere with the experience and skills you gain in a few years. 3% raise? Get real, no wonder why turnover is so high. Shared services is a joke, the best move they made was moving them to Poland, the only thing left is to get rid of their current Shared Services Manager and that group will be in peace.
