Pros

It’s a paycheck. Supposedly a good “mission”.

Cons

They fire a lot. The product has no integrations and is so far behind current tech standards. No remote work instead in a wework.

Thank you for your feedback - we appreciate your input as it helps us make Gympass an even better place for all of our employees. Our product and technology remain a top priority for the organization that we have teams actively devoted to improving based on our user's feedback. Regarding your comment on relocation of employees, Gympass was born in Brazil over 7 years ago. Because of our commitment to expansion to the US Market, we made the decision to relocate our headquarters to New York. Naturally, with this came the relocation of certain jobs, functions, and employees. As we expand into other markets, we will continue this practice of relocating our top performing employees, irrespective of their nationality, as we see fit in order to build the right culture in our offices across the globe.

Hellhub- Where Mental Health Goes to Die

Pros

trauma bonding with coworkers, great coworking space, free access to the app

Cons

Where to even start? This is a “nice-to-have” product that is difficult to sell, and leadership knows it. Instead of providing a clear strategy, management endlessly pivots, overhauls processes, and experiments in real time — with no plan or accountability. The fallout lands directly on the sales org, where we’re forced to deal with the chaos of ever-shifting “strategies,” while upper management remains so disconnected they either don’t see the impact or simply don’t care. You are not set up for success here. Direct managers are inexperienced, sales ops collaboration is weak, and there is no meaningful sales enablement. Performance reviews are inconsistent and arbitrary — some underperformers stay, while even quota achievers are pushed out. The Miami office has been a revolving door of departures, poorly executed from the start and treated as an afterthought. And the most glaring irony? This is a company that publicly champions mental health and employee wellbeing while internally doing the exact opposite. The culture erodes your mental health instead of supporting it. Overall: a deeply disappointing and disillusioning experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your difficulties during your time at Wellhub. Being a high-growth company comes with its challenges, and we recognize that rapid transformation also requires high levels of agility and adaptation. We are focused on strengthening our planning and accountability structures to ensure our teams feel better supported through these necessary transitions. We want to be very clear regarding wellbeing: supporting mental health and creating a healthy, sustainable work environment is a core part of our mission and values. When experiences fall short of that commitment, we take it seriously. At Wellhub, concerns related to wellbeing, leadership practices, or misconduct are addressed through formal processes designed to ensure fairness, accountability, and thoughtful decision-making. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. While we regret that your experience did not reflect the environment we push for, perspectives like yours are important in helping us reflect and continue improving how we operate and support our teams.

Great place to work, but hard to grow

Pros

Everyone I've worked with on the marketing team is extremely kind, helpful, and enjoyable to work with. I think the company culture with a global team is really fun and it's honestly nice to get away from the "American hustle culture." It really feels like everyone's working toward the same goal so we've got each other's backs. Overall: great people, it's fun marketing this product, amazing flexibility, room for creativity, and never pressured to work long hours or during blocked times on my calendar for lunch, etc., encouraged to take time off -- you start with 5 weeks PTO! (I think a lot of negative reviews on here come from the sales teams, which from what I've seen makes sense. Other teams operate very differently)

Cons

The biggest downside I've experienced is it's really hard to progress in your career here. You might want to ask during your interviews what "level" you're being hired for and see if it fits your experience because you'll be stuck there for a long time. Moving from one level to another is extremely difficult, and completely subjective to whether you have a promotion-happy manager or not. So I guess I should really say for some people it's easy, for others it's not, and it's definitely not based on the work you're doing. You do NOT get promoted if your responsibilities increase or if your job changes. You only get promoted once you've been "doing the job of the level above you for some time." I think it's specifically set up this way so you're "proving yourself" by doing the extra work, and the company gets all the benefit of that without having to pay you for it.

We appreciate your feedback! Your opinion is valued and hearing from employees is the best way for us to improve. As we scale, we know how important it is to build processes that support career growth. One thing we're currently working on is creating competency matrices and job structures for each department, so employees can see a path for them within the organization and know what to work on to reach their goals. Glad to hear you're enjoying the collaborative, creative, flexible Wellhub culture! Thanks for being a part of our team.
