Pros

Internal promotions are a pride of Wal-Mart. The store seems to help career advancement to an extent. They have flexible hours, store discount, decent pay raises (I went from $7.00 to $9.40 in a little over a year.)

Cons

The pay is very low compared to competitors benefits kinda suck and employees are extremely unmotivated because it seems like they hire anybody that applies without really screening them but I think its what they get for not paying better.

Pros

The job paid very well. I made an extra dollar an hour on Sundays. I was always scheduled enough hours.

Cons

The worded too much. I had to beg to get time off from work to see my family. The expected me to work over school vacations.

Pros

The info to be successfull is there. The opportunity is also there for you to advance, you just have to be extremely motivated and get it.

Cons

Some of the downsides are a low amount of staffing during the non- peak times. But, you can still get around that by conveying the benefits of team work to your associates.
