Pros

There has been a step change in the culture in Vodafone UK over the last year. Employees are empowered to drive positive change and recognised for doing so. As a result we are seeing more collaboration and innovation. Challenges do abound but as a result so do opportunities and the chance to push your own, your team and the organisation's boundaries.

Cons

Achieving the amount of change for the better does require a level of commitment from staff. If you are looking for a relaxed 9-5 this is not the place for you.

Pros

Good salary, challenging work, lots of customer interactions. Good interaction at inter-team and operational level overcomes poor process. Pre-acquisition teams and people great to work with.

Cons

Poor understanding of large enterprise interactions. Degrading comprehension of the managed service sphere. Lack of understanding of technical service staffing, costs and benefits. Disregard for the value customer facing staff bring to the business in customer loyalty and renewals. Turning into cost savings driven rather than revenue retention and gain. An atmosphere of distrust is creeping in behind the fog of self perceived competence. Lack of training investment for the business. Inability to adopt best practice demonstrated by competitors, which directly impinges revenue streams.

Pros

- Secure on-site car park (should you meet the commute and distance from work criteria) - Decent on site gym with good classes and excellent trainers

Cons

- Widespread incompetence from Agent level through to Senior Management with 'politics' and toxic employees a constant threat, specifically... - Senior Management are forced to manipulate end of year PDR ratings for their Managers and Agents in order to satisfy the 'bonus pot' restrictions - Poor decision-making at Senior Management level with regular conflicts of interest presented due to 'personal' managerial relationships, including work delegation, award nominations and bonus payments. - Valid and substantiated concerns regarding Senior Management behaviour raised via the formal Corporate Whistle-Blower process are devalued and dismissed without investigation. - Stress and anxiety levels within Management Team are un-welcome and unsupported with decisions made often based on political and self-gain. - Despite being well publicised and actively encouraged throughout the rest of the business, Flexible Working (BWOW) is not welcome or allowed - The Sickness Management and Absence Policy is open to interpretation and applied inconsistently, again driven by popularity and friendships
