Pros

I work at ATG--so the environment may be different than at other sites. I have a diverse team with a profile of experiences prior to Uber. I learn new things from my coworkers every day. I have a great immediate team and a good boss. Most of the people that work here are invested in the companies success. The market for self-driving vehicles is incredibly competitive, and we want Uber to win. I am a woman engineer, and I have had an incredibly positive experience thus far. I think the company is committed to making Uber a better place to work for women and other underrepresented groups.

Cons

ATG will ignore important Uber initiatives by saying "We aren't a part of ride-sharing, this doesn't apply to us". That can be frustrating, especially when a program/training/experience becomes available to Prime and you feel it is important.

Thank you so much for the review and all you do at ATG! You're building the future of the company and the work coming from your team is inspiring to all of us. It's great to see you call out the quality of your coworkers; we hear that consistently and believe it's the best part of working at Uber. Thank you for the advice as well; I know the entire recruiting org, ERGs, and many other teams internally are working on projects to increase the pool of women and minorities for roles across the company and especially in tech and ATG. We know we need to do better and are committed to this. Many more initiatives, projects and partnerships coming soon on this front. Thanks again for the feedback and advice, and keep up the great work!

Hi - thanks for the review and feedback. If you'd be willing, I'd welcome a conversation offline to discuss how we can make Uber a better place for everyone. Feel free to reach out and we can set it up - pierce@uber.com. One con you mention about training and onboarding is being addressed head on right now, with a cross-functional team in P&P revamping the entire onboarding and first year experience for new hires. Much more exciting programs to come from this!
