Pros

Good Compensation and Flexible Work Options

Cons

Since 2023, there have been regular rounds of layoffs approximately every 6 months, often just below legal thresholds. Some of these have affected employees during or just before family-related leave. Leadership changes have introduced significant uncertainty. The leadership and executive team appear to have limited to no experience in similar roles, which has impacted strategic decision-making and employee confidence.

Pros

I worked with some really amazing colleagues over the last few years that I worked there.

Cons

I honestly believe the first con is the shift to try and make Typeform a "Silicon Valley-type" company with an Anglo work culture. I've had some of the worst managers that I've ever had over the course of my employment at Typeform, and almost every single one was political, lazy, egotistical, and passive aggressive. What's worse is that none of them actually managed, and they all tried to relegate their responsibilities to their employees. When I stood up to a couple of them for being unprofessional and outright exploitative, they pulled the rank card on me. The last one told me they didn't have budget to promote me to a senior position. What do I find out as soon as I leave the company? They're hiring for a senior position. What a joke :) Anyway, I consider myself to have dodged a bullet. So happy to be done and out of that place.

Pros

Flexible working and great perks

Cons

It used to be an amazing company but the founders and all the great people left. In engineering, there's a culture of fear, micromanagement. As a lot of people left or were fired, they are rushing and not taking a lot of care of new hires, meaning that engineering teams are less knowledgeable and usually there are people difficult to work with. Engineering diversity has become zero and discrimination is evident. There are no opportunities to learn and grow as a professional. Unlimited vacations are cool, but think twice before joining this company.
