I want to immediately apologize for any sexist or unprofessional remarks that you may have experienced while working here. TripAdvisor does not tolerate these type of remarks, and I ask that you share your specific concerns with your HR Business Partner or me as soon as possible, so that we may appropriately address them. We pride ourselves on having the world’s largest travel site and community, and for being a fast-moving, product driven company. We have programs in place to provide visibility to product development, but there is always room for improvement. We appreciate your feedback, as we are always open to suggestions on how to improve product communication, and would welcome the opportunity to hear from you directly. Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you felt this was a great first work experience and you enjoyed working on our product. As with any successful company we have accumulated technical debt. Historically debt was not addressed in a timely manner, but that changed significantly back in the summer of 2015. Now teams and individuals are empowered to address debt throughout the organization. Also, It is reasonable to say that we did not strike a good balance in adopting new technologies; however using new technologies in a high volume environment requires a lot of consideration. That is also an area being rectified albeit at a slower pace than addressing our technical debt. We wish you the best of luck in your new position and thank you again for your feedback.
