Pros

-a lot of free booze if you brown nose management -will take practically anyone as long as they have a pulse

Cons

-reactionary rather than innovative -management wants to be thought police (notice how people who work here aren't allowed to list it on their linkedin profiles?) -management promotes their sorority sisters and frat brothers (without merit) before anyone else -very little training -will not help you get to the next level of your career. Most likely will keep you from advancing. -high, high turnover for a reason -sr. management is highly narcissistic

Pros

Coming out of university my family were convinced that I would not be able to make it in the corporate world as someone from an ethnic minority due to how "prejudice" the city was. They said it would be impossible to find a job that I liked and to get paid well for it, and to this day I am happy to keep reminding them how wrong they were. I joined TPT in the most junior sales role that they had and have spent the last 6 plus years progressing purely based on my own merits. Age, colour, gender or popularity have never been a factor I have had to worry about, it pretty much comes down to those who have the passion to succeed and ensure their working habits reflect this do well here. It says what it is on the tin, if you are in a sales oriented role expect to be focusing all of your time on business development and then once you start bringing in clients juggling your time between growing accounts, bringing in new accounts and most importantly keeping existing clients happy. If it is more account management focused there is a lot more administrative work involvedduring project management to make sure we deliver quality and cut out the opportunity for human error, with the challenge then being making sure you find time to grow accounts and make the next step in your career path. One of the biggest pros are the people I work with, I have lived with some of them, I go on holidays with them and I made some of my best friends for life at the company.

Cons

This is not a job to be bad or even average at. My biggest challenge stems from me being pretty average at organisation which means I spend more time doing things that some of my peers manage to get done in the normal working day. This is not a job you will be successful at overnight and it requires you to be willing to invest the time and knowingthat everyone progresses at different speeds. It took me 11 months toreally "get" what we did, and another 2 years to become what I consider to be "good" and every day you are learning something new, it is not a job you can rest on your laurels as there is always a strive to be better. This is not a job for someone who wants to work 9-5 as our clients demand more of us than that, we focus on WOWing them with our level of support and responsiveness and that is how we differentiate ourselves from everyone else out there.
