Pros

I’ve worked at TPT for 7 years in production. I’ve greatly enjoyed working here and the opportunities afforded to me. It’s a fast-growing company so there are always opportunities to do new things and move up within the company. I’ve had multiple opportunities for travel both domestically and internationally for client meetings and also for different training and different managerial roles as well as different project management roles. One of the things I love about TPT is the flexibility. It’s a place where if you work hard and prove yourself, you earn respect and trust from senior management. I’ve been given opportunities to work remotely from home and also internationally. It’s a constantly evolving industry and the work is continually challenging.

Cons

It's a high pressure job that requires the best of the best.

Great growth opportunities for the ambitious

Pros

If you're ambitious and looking for a career versus a job, TPT offers great opportunities down a variety of paths. Even during a recession, business has been constantly growing which means no shortage of career options (especially as they focus on promoting from within). Being a global company there are great opportunities for both travel and relocation, and the chance to be involved in VIP client's and projects - and not just involved, but a part of the process. Also can't ignore the great social atmosphere, a great group of fun people to spend your days with.

Cons

Deadline driven environments so hours will vary and some longer days are inevitable, but the hard work will pay off in the end

Pros

casual workplace. people are nice usually, even though working conditions are deplorable and and morale is really low. in production, people work 12+ days, several days a week. while this was a really awful job, having pleasant co-workers made it marginally more tolerable.

Cons

working in production was definitely like working in a white-collar sweatshop. there is no such thing as work-life balance. the job itself isn't hard but the workload is unwieldy and management rarely steps in to help someone struggling to complete their days work or show any interest in letting someone go home on time. if you seem to be working at a comfortable pace without being overwhelmed, a second later you will be handed more work that day and will end up staying in the office until 8/9 p.m. what was really miserable to witness was how trainers acted towards new PMs. during training period, which lasts 3 months on average, the more experienced project managers tend to be condescending to newer folks and strict and overbearing. i don't think new people (recent college grads especially) should be publicly shamed for missing commas or replying to emails incorrectly. scores of PMs quit in 6 months to a year and go on to be really happy elsewhere. outside of the office social events are just really boozey. pretty off-putting.
