Extreme low pay and long hours. They want to squeeze every last amount of energy from their people and underpay them by waiving work visas to unsuspecting fresh out of college foreign kids. Owners have a Lordship peasant mentality. An almost discriminatory preference for under 25 year old workers so they don't have to pay. No overtime yet they expect people to work 14 hour days. Its basically a modern day sweatshop with an outdated .com mentality. Avoid it unless you are desperate

The culture can be a bit confusing -- and many new project managers don't know what they've gotten into. A PM is in a position where they need good relationships with Sales people while at the same time, they need to be pushing back. It takes some time to get this balance right and which is why you need a strong manager you can escalate matters to. They also need to find a way to differentiate themselves -- which a good manager can help with -- but TransPerfect is full of young managers, having their first crack at managing teams under pressure.
