Low Tenure for a Reason…

Pros

The overwhelming majority of employees will gladly celebrate their cool tech job on social media while slowly dying inside. Yes, it looks awesome on your resume and in fairness, there are many challenges that will help you grow.. because you have to (bend or you’ll break, sink or swim). But the volume, pressure, and standards for the work you do here are so outrageous and that you receive so much praise if it’s discovered that you’ve worked there more than a year. This place is a fast track to burnout. Nobody cares for your well-being because your struggle with keeping up is never seen as a problem with the company. It’s just interpreted as, “they just don’t have what it takes to make it in tech.” You’re so replaceable that they have no incentive to care for you, retain you, or check in on you. I’ve made great friends here and met some amazing people. But overall.. worse manager I’ve ever had and my lifespan has been shortened by this place.

Cons

Stress, unfair comp structure (some benefit hugely and some are completely f’d over)

Pros

- incredible opportunity to work on an amazing product - lots of room to collab w/other teams and job functions - people are great

Cons

- bimonthly bonus structure barely gives employees room to breathe - CSMs/CSPs are comped terribly compared to TT's competitors - even the smaller ones - the company has ridiculous expectations for performance reviews/compensation evaluation, without paying out their employees an equal reward once those expectations are surpassed (not even enough to combat inflation) - leadership dodges questions on all-hands meetings constantly, saying they're "working on it" consistently for 1-2+ years

Pros

Meal Stipend is the bonus, but they are taking that away too.

Cons

Micromanaging to the extreme, systems and processes are not functional or organized. The Team Leads have no idea what is going on, they do not know policies or workflows. Bullying and harassment is not dealt with, and constant berating of employees by other co-wokers is allowed. They took away holidays, M-F scheduling, and did not take into consideration people with families, school, or anything else. Operation managers speak to you like you are a child. We are to be in charge of projects and ideas, and they take all of the credit, and we do not get recognition or the bonuses we deserve for all of the changes we have done. There are unreachable targets and no work in the queues, but are required to exceed goals and then are rated poorly on performance reviews. Upper management does not understand the lack of work we have and we get in trouble for this. There is competition on the team and everyone tries to be a team lead and take over. Favoritism is extreme and it shows who is loved and who is not. There is no hope for internal growth as they continue to change the requirements to move up. Preventing anyone to grow.
