Pros

Management is great, very relaxed atmosphere.

Cons

It can be frustrating working with the public, as there are lots of crabby customers, but that's true of any job.

Pros

Casual work environment - jeans every Friday. Nice coffee/cappuccino machine. Office location. Most office staff were pleasant and friendly.

Cons

Self-centered Management with bad attitude and significantly poor communication skills. Management was disinterested in new hires and oftentimes condescending. Management displayed nepotism. No organized training. Health Insurance options not as good as expected from a company with 30k + employees. High turnover in Memphis Sales office - at least (6) people have left in 2013.

Pros

Cigna seems to be a solid company with decent benefits and good pay..

Cons

If you a creative thinker and want to feel like your thoughts and ideas are going to be heard and love bleeding technology look else where. Turn over is high and the IT department is run from a draconian top down mentality that is like so "20 years ago". Management seems to marinate in nepotism beyond belief and is very "self serving". Unless your the select few in the "In group click" don't expect too much in the way of job satisfaction from this place. They do not show any serious signs of taking any interest in developing and keeping the little talent that they have hence the revolving door. Most big companies have already adopted since years ago new school motivational models of management and leadership when it come to running an IT shop and software development vs. the old school fear and intimidation model you see on display here if you don't walk the fine line or are not part of the "elite click" of people.
