Pros

-The stores I worked in had great and diverse team members, team leaders, and managers (for the most part). The culture/environment is what kept me there when I first got hired. -for the most part, the managers I worked with all had great work ethic and did not shy away from busting their butts and getting their hands dirty. That was huge for me and my motivation, to see mgmt acting not as bosses giving orders but as leaders willing to lead by example. -advancement opportunities are there if you show you deserve them. And if you do, mgmt will go out of their way to help you move up or into other areas. I generally saw hard work and motivated effort get rewarded, not just for me but others also. -I worked as an APS and then APTL, and I enjoyed my job very much.

Cons

-starting pay was low. -the normal frustrations of working in retail. -I worked in assets protection, and a change in the reporting structure then meant that AP had to begin reporting directly to the store manager, which was a huge morale killer among the AP in my entire district. We all felt it was kind of ridiculous to be accountable to STL's who had in our opinions little to no knowledge of the AP side of the business. -along with the structure, we started having our resources, i.e. manpower, slashed, so AP teams had to do more with less. The worst was seeing stores with only one single AP team member (APL's).

Pros

Flexible hours, good discount, competitive pay, PTO, very good 401k matching, fun company to work for when there are enough hours to get the work done.

Cons

Not a lot of hours for regular team members, some very poor managers in charge of stores, culture has taken a downturn in the past couple years - not always as fun as it used to be.
