      Pros

      Good focus on data, used their own product extensively

      Cons

      Too much "me too" of the more toxic or unproductive aspects of Amazon culture like reading docs in meetings and frankly too many upper management types from there as well

      - Good comp (less true after the Salesforce acquisition) - Good work/life balance

      Cons

      - Out-of-control politics due to a tolerance of jerks and managers who (following the example of top executives) are willing to listen to employees, but think their responsibility ends with listening - Lots of bureaucracy, especially since the acquisition - Inconsistent employee quality since they don't seem to fire anyone. This is especially true for employees with longer tenures since compensation plummets once the initial stock grant has vested, so most competent folks leave at that point - Hypocrisy from upper management, who seem to believe that company values are only for rank-and-file employees
