Pros

Travel discounts and options (role dependant) Global (good to mix with other cultures)

Cons

Very poor pay with no salary increases ("because you're on a maximum for your band" - which is a lie) Facefit culture - won't move up unless you rub shoulders with the right people Bullying Poor leadership, driving culture from top down Restructures done by removing junior teams, rather than countless directors. So everyone else has more work with no overtime pay

Pros

Because the people I worked with did not speak Portuguese nor English I learned Spanish

Cons

Horrible organization, I was left alone with 3 weeks experience as a trainee, taking care of important documents and payments, I felt many times that I had no help from my direct colleagues. Besides that, I feel that I did everything I could for them, did more then I was asked, worked extra hours to help colleagues, I only received 300 euros and even thought all my direct colleagues said they were very happy with my work, I got no response until today about staying. I did not even receive a no, I received a "I will contact you next week to tell you if we will be able to keep you". 3 months have passed and nothing.

Pros

It's a well recognised business.

Cons

Very cliquey, if you're not in with the right people you will never progress at TUI. It's disheartening to see people with no discernible talent (but are favourites with the management) rising through the ranks, whilst the people who have some much to offer (but aren't recognised) do all the work and languish at the bottom. Backstabbing is a big part of the culture and the HR Department are the worst for this. Low salary - no matter how much they try and push the fact you can get some money off your holiday or a cheaper deal, the salary is still poor. Tired offices and issues with parking (which has only been resolved due to the WFH option).
