Pros

Insurance benefits, work union, double holiday pay, variety of schedules, uniform allowance, shift trading, vacation leave, sick leave, fairly easy

Cons

Rude passengers, lazy coworkers, lazy supervisors, ever-changing policies, shifts based on seniority, constant testing, no grace period, more attention put on customer service than security

Pros

Standard federal government benefits package plus immediate death benefit up to $35K. Strong focus on mission among workforce. Dedicated employees who continue to improve screening protocols and practices - good job of balancing security and waiting times.

Cons

Banding system stinks in comparison to the GS system unless you are already a GS14 or GS15 and want to make a salary outside of the GS scale as a non-SES. Constant change among top leadership, constant OIG and GAO audits, additional positions created (i.e., more government). Agency is too top heavy with senior executives making $200K+ with retirement from other agencies, senior executives riding out their high-three need to retire and make room for fresh blood, new and innovative ideas.

Pros

Good Entry Federal Job Position. Decent benefits.

Cons

Working early morning shift. Management be watching you everything. Co-workers don't have you back, some would talk behind your back. Very low morale, very little or no recognition given. Work you out like a dog NO UNITY AND TEAMWORK. Research before you apply.
