Pros

Health Benefits. Accrue vacation and sick time. Working with people. Opens door to other government jobs.

Cons

Must take a test once a year to keep the job. Difficult to get pay raise or bonus. On your feet for long periods. Fast pace. Not a rewarding job except knowing you are providing safety.

Pros

Paid time off, full health benefits, job security in that you will not be laid off, good pay, easy to get other jobs within DHS.

Cons

Can be strict at times, a big enough mistake can cost you your job, even though you are given sick hours, if you use to many within a 6 month period, you could be put on leave restriction or hired.

Pros

There are actually some cool people who work here, contrary to popular belief. They pay is above average and there are good federal benefits.

Cons

Management is incompetent and drives good people away. A house divided against itself will not stand.
