Pros

Its a great way to get in the federal system. Most fed jobs scrutinize education more. But time in service helps almost negate that.

Cons

Depends solely on the airport you work. Leaders are chosen by the good ol boy system. Who you know goes a long way and being a yes man is most welcome.
