Job Security, doing something to help the world, working with other agencies in counter terrorism. Great medical and retirement.

Cons

Management treats you poorly, flying public treats you poorly. Getting time off is difficult. Pay raises are few and far between even you score well on performance reviews.

PAY! and benefits! Starts at 17.69 in Atlanta at 25 hours a week... but U can pick up hours easily! Normal federal health/dental/ life/ savings plans.... and bonuses.

Cons

Environment... your working to protect people who curse you out for doing your job! And have to deal with management's bull and it's frustrating

For what the job is, the compansation is very competitive. The work conditions are good. The duties vary, but you have the satisfaction that your are contributing to a worthwhile cause.

Cons

TSA does not have a great repuation, and all employees get painted with a broad brush when a mintority screw up. Management is not the greatest and promotional opportunities can be rare depending where you work.
