Pros

TSA has a group of great people to work with. shifts are a little questionable if you do mid working in the AM or staying till late pm this is not a bad job. there seems to be a lot of movement wit staffing.

Cons

Hours and Days off are questionable after six years no weekends days off. Promotions are mixed at times but seem to be limited Pay raise are not likely if you do get one expect 1%

Pros

Federal Benefits, decent pay, never gets boring/every day is different. If you can work in this hectic, fast paced environment, you can work anywhere!

Cons

Everything else. It seems the supervisors like to use fear to control employees. If I were paid each time I was told "you can get written up" I would have to move into another tax bracket.

The best things about working for TSA are thorough training, health benefits, pay and friendly co-workers.

Cons

Waiting for a full time position seems to take at least a year depending on the particular airports needs. You bid for your hours based on seniority.
