You get to work with lots of people

Does not pay enough! After 20 years I'm only making 54,000 which is at the low end of my pay rate. By now I should be at the high end and maxed out. We are government workers but we are the lowest paid workers. Turn over rate is through the roof! They've been promising us a pay increase since I've been there.

management thinks your personal life isn't important they make you stay 2 hours more almost everyday with 30 min notice and call you in on your days off (you can't say no or they will write you up) also won't give you days off unless requested on your yearly bid.

The job is relatively easy, don't have to tae work home with you.

Cons

Low pay, little support from management, terrible morale, terrible shifts, toxic environment. TSOs get chastised by the general public, airport employees, management and each other simply by doing our jobs.
