13 years with TSA has been an adventure. I have gone as far as I can go with the job. Ready for something new.

I enjoy working with public. Learning about security in so many phases, and training. Working with associates new and old.

Cons

The changes in operational procedure's seem to contradict and create miscommunication between associates due to limited time to study new procedure's.

-Great med/den/vision benefits with part time and full time employment -pays well -Travel oppurtunity -Ability to move states and keep job -Meet people from all walks of life and backgrounds - very cool training - awesome employee events and discounts

Cons

-Supervisors like to micromanage their workers (too many supervisors with power trip) -Horrible at organizing officer paperwork -Always being tested -Not alotted enough time to finish required courses -Crazy weird work schedules, difficult if you have kids

Its a paycheck. Decent govt benefits. Meet someone new everyday.

Cons

You have to pay for parking, even though other govt agencies and private business provide for it. The union is a joke! Mgmt is only concerned with the throughput of passengers and not the actual mission of the job. That is until an overworked and overstressed employees makes a mistake. Mgmt is not proactive at all! Mgmt does not treat employees with dignity and respect as a whole. Check out all the pending litigation against the TSA for basic employee rights violations...
