Pros

Great place to begin your career with the government. It is a stepping stone to move to different departments and branches within the Government. Coworkers are great team workers.

Cons

The daily stresses incurred by the traveling passengers can be a lot for a person. Majority of selected managers do not have the educational background to lead.

Pros

Decent salary and good benefits. In the recession government jobs have more stability. It's probably better suited for college students going part time.

Cons

Government work can be very confining. You're tested over 4 times a year officially and randomly throughout the year unofficially.
