Pros

Decent pay, for those who were part time ( I was salaried), PT got paid well and full benefits. Not a bad deal for them.

Cons

Leadership is terrible. Go along to get along type of environment. Critical thinking is frowned upon... they want yes men or women that do what they say to move up. Brown nosing will do a lot, questioning wasteful practices will get you fired.

Pros

I've been with the boys in blue for 5 years. My first Federal job, and it helped me move around. It has a great transfer program. And if you want to travel there is a program that sends you around the US to help airports.

Cons

They hire anyone and everyone, you just have to be willing to wait a year to get through the process. If you don't volunteer for anything in regards to collateral duties your job can get exhausting and repetitive. Have a plan and you'll love the job despite the cons listed in other reviews.
