Pros

Gained experience that would allow me to move on to a better job.

Cons

Inflexible scheduling. Management more focused on metrics than actual customer service. Continuously changing policies that hinder the flow of the process

Pros

The pay and benefits are good

Cons

They have a high turnover rate. They hire and fire. When I was in training, and we got on the floor for hands on training, it got to the point there were no seats to take calls. They come up with stupid reasons to want to fire you, when they are the ones that hired so many people. I know people need jobs and not trying to block anyone from getting hired but it is worse for them to hire you and realize they are trying to fire you because they hired to many people. This is really stressful everyday you are hoping that you still have a job. If you don'y offer the MyAt&t app or offer to walk them through it then the write you up with a verbal warning, written warning if it happens a second time, and a final if you don't offer it a 3rd time. After that you are gone, which is stupid because in some situations it is not appropriate to offer the App. If you get hired there do not get a car, a house, or an apartment, or anything that requires monthly recurring charges and reports to credit companies because it is not really secure.

Pros

You get to help people over the phone, you get paid alright doing it, you get technical and customer support experience, if you are lucky you can advance very far within the company itself, and it's a great starting out job.

Cons

Tedious work, abusive clients, little to no job security, very little chance for promotion above "Senior Adviser", statistics that do not reflect an advisers actual potential or ability, little to no benefits (the ones that are there are the worst I've ever seen), no consensus on policies (some managers think you can, others think you can't), Human Resources does not seem to know what's going on (sometimes people don't even get paid what they are supposed to), and there is a lot of pressure.
