Pros

Telus has some good points, and it really isnt a terrible company. decent employee discount union protection some good managers decent pay hire new people frequently

Cons

Some of the negatives of Telus however are: Some terrible managers (play favourites, rig the system against union employees) Inflexible, they expect you to be always available no matter what. High staff turnover. Little real chance for promotion. Pointless employee satisfaction survey (called pulsecheck) that they ignore.

Pros

Corporate culture - you need to do your job not show up at a specific hour Excellent benefits - stock, RRSP and insurance Work from home is considered "natural", not a way to skip work by both employees and their managers

Cons

Big company thus less efficient Politics (it's more important who you know or talk to) - especially in TQ
