Pros

• Good location back in 2019 (Central station with direct access to the train) • HR is efficient, professional and kind. The hiring process was pleasant. • Great opportunities for traveling and exchanging with business clients as a Business Analyst.

Cons

• Lowest salary in the industry • Little recognition from management for loyal employees (even after 10 years) • High turnover • Favoritism unfortunately

Pros

Work from home; consistent shifts

Cons

Where to start?!! First, the way the work is managed is SO disjointed & unorganized, you spent half your time typing nonsense into Slack! I’d never seen anything like it, and this wasn’t my first experience with a virtual medicine platform! More than 20 slack channels just to do the regular day-to day work is absurd! (Healthcare providers would type in a specific channel what they needed done, and we had to hop around all those specific channels & sort it out for ourselves). We were expected to jump in & out of each one to grab a file, etc., then jump into the group chat to advise what we were doing, then jump back in once completed to advise again, then do it all over again. Coordinators were not assigned to specific tasks—it was a free for all “first come first served”. Such a horrid way to work! Disorganized & delusional at its finest! You just spun around in circles all day. Micromanaged is not a strong enough term for how the work is carried out. If you don’t chime in on the group chat enough during the day, you’re spoken to about it. The billing methods & appointments were so much more complex than necessary! The worst part? THEY OWN THE INOPUT HEALTH EMR PLATFORM!!! Which is actually one of the most decent EMR’s out there, and they’d barely use it; the microscopic amount they used it for? Weren’t even using it correctly!! The way patient information is handled is questionable at best! Given my experience, I knew where a lot of items SHOULD have been sent, but they had no clue & would just randomly send things without confirming if it was correct! A lot of items would also be sent via email without encryption, etc., which is still a grey area as it relates to Health Canada. The manager at the time was clueless, but super-aggressive in her approach. I’d step away from my desk to the washroom, and she’d send me a slack message after maybe a minute looking to see where I was, followed by a text to my personal device if I didn’t respond right away. Apparently I need to advise each & every time I urinate or have a bowel movement! Never in my life had I been treated like this! Training? WHAT TRAINING?!! Here’s a 70 page document, you have 2 hours to read it, then we put you to work & in a public team setting will belittle you if you don’t know it all immediately. 🥴 Run as far away as possible!
