Pros

Salaries are competitive. Meaningless "career development" exercises are ignored.

Cons

No flexibility - you have to be in the office. Working offsite is unheard of (unless your immediate manager is cool about it)

Pros

Growing, salary and benefits are average

Cons

More focused on pleasing the handful of executives than the hundreds of young talented employees that are the most valuable part of the company. So many older employees contribute next to nothing yet prohibit younger talent from gaining necessary experience. The Associates program is a joke, rushing kids through a year of training but by the time they are called "Underwriters" they can't do anything on their own. UAs get no respect for the sheer volume and difficult of work they do and the crap they have to put up with. The turn over rate is quite high considering the pay and benefits are above average because every employee here is viewed as dispensable.

Pros

Good pay and paid parking.

Cons

The higher your pay is the the greater your workload is. No formal training. if you are smart enough to negotiate a higher pay rate for yourself it is automatically assumed that you would not require or need any training. The overall environment is very clicky... Underwriters are very quick to throw an assistant or an analyst under the bus to home office or upper Senior Management. Too much nonsensical over documentation of files, checklist for checklist for checklists. Very much a do-as-i-say-not-as-i-do environment.
