Pros

They accommodate your scheduling needs really well. Getting a friday night off wasn't always a possibility but I was never scheduled when I had somewhere else to be, like school. Most people working at Starbucks are college age kids who are really cool to talk with. When you're working with awesome people, it makes dealing with the bad customers easy.

Cons

Some people get really serious about their drink and get really upset if something isn't done perfectly. Internal communication can sometimes be horrible. You know about new drinks in advance, but sometimes other changes wouldn't be well announced. Like a change to how a drink was made or about how to complete a task.

Pros

I mean you work an automatic espresso machine, deal with customers, and so some cleaning. Basic entry-level food-service job. Tips are nice, if undeserved. Free coffee once a month and free drinks on shift is pretty sweet too. Most of my co-workers were interesting, intelligent people.

Cons

If a customer complains, they will always take their side. Managers guilt you into coming in your day off and when you want to get a shift covered. You need open availability to get decent hours.
