Pros

Flexible hours, easy to trade shifts with other employees when you can't do an assigned shift, free pound of coffee/box of tea every week, meeting other young people, free drinks!

Cons

Most of the supervisors and managers were poor communicators and end up just getting pissed off at you even though they don't keep you up to date about what to do and what's new, I received minimal training behind the coffee bar and had to always ask other employees about how to do things for months after I started, they started throwing away leftover food everyday instead of letting us take it home at the end of the day therefore wasting TONS of perfectly good food

Pros

Starbucks is my first job; I'm also a college student. I've found the company to be receptive to students- they allow for flexible scheduling semester-to-semester and the benefits have been quite good.

Cons

the pay isn't as high as I could be making at other food service venues but the flexibility Starbucks offers is simply unmatched
