Pros

Starbucks has some of the best benefits of any other job out there! They cannot be topped. We get medical, dental, vision, 401k, stock, etc.

Cons

The early hours are tiring, but you get used to it. There has also been a lot less guidance from leadership in the last few years.

Pros

If you are competent, the opportunity to promote is very available. The benefits are awesome and I love that part time baristas can get the same insurance options as store managers. I'm very proud of the way Starbucks promotes global corporate responsibility and takes care of the little people that have made it the internationally known brand that it is. Also, Starbucks attracts really great long-term employees.

Cons

The annual salary for the store manager of a 2.5 million dollar store is the same as a manager of a much lower volume store, even though the former operates a much more difficult and complex environment. The annual raise of a store manager is usually between 2 and 3 percent and unfortunately the cost of living is increasing faster than our salaries.
