Thank you for sharing. Springer Nature is truly a people business. Our work touches millions of people every day and our fantastic collleauges and the communities of reseachers and educators as well as the wider public benefit from the research we publish. Our company is full of dedicated, curious, passionate and highly trained people. We asked our colleagues what they think globally and we actively listened to feedback. We created a new Careers at Springer Nature Hub which brings together resources, training and events to help our people take ownership of their careers with the support. We recognise that everyone is unique and we do care about the wellbeing of our colleagues so we have flexible and generous benefits to support our colleagues and their families.

Poor management

Business Outlook

Pros

Talented colleagues, exposure to different departments, 2 day WFO policy.

Cons

My main issues with this company are: 1) yearly hikes are around 5-10% on top of the very entry level salaries. They also cut bonuses when they feel like. Salaries are low compared to the workload which keeps increasing with tenure. 2) There are hardly any trainings or talent development for people in their entry level positions. Most people stay in the same role for 3-6 years. 3) Highly apathetic upper management - not receptive to feedback or struggles of the team. 4) Hardly any diversity in the pune office. Upper management are all men (publishing industry things?!) while editorial dept. has a majority of women. Mostly local punekars.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We constantly work towards making Springer Nature a great place to work. As a learning organisation, we ensure that our colleagues have equal and continuous access to learning resources, growth and development opportunities. Most of our team lead and managers in the team have been colleagues who’ve grown within their roles over the years. It is our constant endeavour to improve gender equity and foster diversity and inclusion at Springer Nature. Within our Publishing Solutions team in Pune, 74% of the leadership and managerial roles are held by women. We believe in building strong relationships through collaboration, and being open to new ideas and feedback. We ensure that our compensation continues to be in line with relevant markets. In our Publishing Solutions team at Springer Nature Pune, increments are based on performance, with no bonus cuts unless it is prorated due to shorter tenure. We are committed towards building a culture of appreciation, and hence rewards and recognition ceremonies are conducted every quarter to encourage team spirit, mutual trust and personal happiness in the organisation.
