Pros

Flexi hours, salary credited on time. Employees are usually not asked to stretch beyond working hours and working over weekends is incentivised.

Cons

1. No transparency with respect to the performance of the company. This leads to a lot of rumors and hearsay among team members. 2. No interaction between senior management and associates on the floor and there's favoritism galore!! 3. Managers walk around with a halo over their head and are very unapproachable. 4. KRAs do not make any sense and most of the time, the team leads cannot justify the ratings they give you. 5. Work is very monotonous and it's such a niche area that your chances of getting another job anywhere else are diminished. 6. Canteen facilities are pathetic, food available is extremely substandard and overpriced. Vendors get changed every 6 months. 7. Senior Management is obsessed with the usage of mobile phones on the floor. So, they do not want people to use cell phones but there is no landline extension where you will be reachable for the entire 9 hours 45 minutes you are expected to work in a day. 8. Attrition is very high and this demotivates the team.

Pros

Following the merger there are new opportunities in some teams. The company are trying to change the world - solving grand challenges through science. A lot a of nice people.

Cons

Following the merger staff morale in some teams is very low. Systems previously used by Springer are being favoured over Nature systems, regardless of quality. Feels a bit like a takeover.
