Very good staffing company with opportunities for professional growth

Pros

Good company with many excellent opportunities for professional and career growth. Very talented professional staff. There is almost no travel. Cap Gemini (the parent company) provides some benefits as far as a knowledgebase, online training, etc. Head of the pack as far as staff aug firms go. Good internal training opportunities, BooksOnline, SkillPort, internal PMP training, etc.

Cons

Can be somewhat political. Although they will say they're a project company, they're primarily a staff augmentation company (at least in the Dallas-Fort Worth area). There are some project opportunities though. Benefits are not great -- 15 PTO days (combined vacation and sick leave) and 7 paid holidays. Insurance is pretty bad (high deductible w/ HSA account). They work very hard to minimize consultant costs.

Benefits - 401k, profit sharing (canceled for 2009), bonus, cell phone, health insurance The potential to use Capgemini's vast infrastructure and worldwide capabilities.

Cons

Senior management not sure about company direction. They are not ready to invest in order to grow. The working relationship with Capgemini is not clearly defined. In certain markets the two companies compete against each other and that makes no sense to either clients or employees.

Pros

You will be forced to grow in whatever you do. This company throws you into deep water, which is not easy, but is great for character and career development. If you understand that growth comes through discomfort, you will benefit from working for Sogeti.

Cons

You are not going to get personal recognition for your hard work. This company is very big and you are very small and won't be visible. If you can stomach no recognition for what you sacrifice, you will grow here.
