Pros

Frequent flyer miles available if you want them. Relocation packages also available. Good if you just want to pick up a pay check. Work/life can be good if you can tolerate the occasional micromanagement.

Cons

Terrible management styles and overall culture with ever increasing middle management. No idea how to execute on strategy. Many of the verticals are dysfunctional.

Pros

SoftwareONE is on the cutting edge of SAM platforms, LSP leverage and ITAM know-how.... we are your technology solution source, integration experts and local / global resource. The company is running toward the future, hires great people and cares about our customers, our vendors and our co-workers. - Transparency - I know what the CEO is compensated for and my peers know why I make my money too... - Help - even though I am paid to sell I get help from other sellers to succeed we are in it together - History - most of my team has people who are all longer term employees even though we are growing the people stay and make a career here - Authenticity - yep they really are that nice - Toughness - your interview will be hard, your on-boarding will challenge you to grow, you will need to be exceptional. You will need to win in order to be a winner here. No free trophies. -

Cons

If you are looking for a big complicated company where you can relax and get lost in paper work and bureaucracy keep going. If you are a Microsoft employee who loved the cushy v-dash supported life, this will seem like boot camp. (if you are a scrapper you will love it here!).

GSDC Leadership - Good for Nothing

Pros

SWO as an organization has a great culture, International day celebrations, visitors coming in GSDC every now & then which is nice, GSDC members going to onsite projects, Work from home policy for few people is good. Global teams are collaborative. Good for young college guys as they wont find much difference in the work environment in office than being in college.

Cons

- GSDC Leadership, vertical lead works on a policy named "my way or highway ". - Only interested in micromanaging people, their personal lives than in thought leadership. - Vertical Lead have only one goal of cutting goals of employees for no/silliest of reasons and without discussions. - Employees are doing everything in fear of loosing their goals be it attending soft skills training, attending a meeting/calls instead of they being motivated to achieve their goals. - Clear message in emails from GSDC Leadership & vertical leader if you don't do this, goals will be deducted.. This wasn't a culture an year back.. Things changed.. Lot of negativity.. - GSDC leaders emphasizes on telling than listening and appreciating. - Expense settlement is a real pain...why did you spend this ? how can you eat so much ? Is a generic question by approvers - Though its always quoted by CEO's about SWO to be a ONE TEAM, but GSDC and their leaders run their shop at their will. - Lack of Transparency is the new culture in GSDC, people gets promoted without nominations, without IJP's, without discussion and overnight. Policies gets changed overnight... Employees have started filling service bonds now.. - 360 Degree feedback, Employee Annual Survey feedback resulted into no action on ground in GSDC. There is no point of doing this.. Surprisingly people even participate in EPS survey in the fear of loosing their goals. - Bureaucracy, politics & biasness in monthly, quarterly & annual awards system & at sole discretion of leaders in GSDC - There is no NMA ( New manager assimilation for the leaders ), There is no process of taking leaders feedback by HR and derive actions out of it... as its rightly said " People don't change companies. They change leaders". I am looking for a change...Big time.. -
