Pros

People are great and supportive. Communication and collaboration across teams are encouraged.

Cons

A feeling that it is all centralized in Sydney however, there has been a genuine effort to shift that.

Pros

- Interesting industry - SiteMinder is in a unique position in the market - great teams and leadership

Cons

- turnover: lost a lot of great people - too many things happening in parallel: which is also a good thing, as it minimizes risk if something fails

Thanks for your feedback, we agree we have great people and leadership! As with all organisations, turnover is inevitable and it’s always disappointing to lose team members, however we are confident we offer a great work environment and development opportunities that help us retain our talent.

Best place I have worked

Pros

SiteMinder is the first place I have ever worked that really cares for its employees. Whether you value this may depend on where you have worked before but I really value the real flexibility to work wherever and whenever works for me and the way they value employees with snacks and paid social events and little extras like birthday leave and the occasional coffee cart. . I also think SiteMinder is filled really smart and engaged people. I haven’t met anyone who isn’t doing their best to have a positive impact on the business.

Cons

Onboarding can be tough.. It is like drinking at firehouse for months. The onboarding experience provided by the business is great but there is so much to learn and get across. Everyone feels like this so go easy on yourself in the first 6 months.

Thank you for your comments, we are so glad you are appreciating our Open Working model and benefits of working at SiteMinder. We agree, our people do strive to live and breathe our ways of working creating a positive impact on the business. Due to the nature of the business, our onboarding is thorough and includes quite a lot of information. Absolutely go easy on yourself, there is a lot to learn but we hope you feel supported along the way with guidance from your manager and the learning & development team as needed.
