It all went so tragically wrong

Pros

Relaxed work environment, decent amenities such as fruit, breakfast cereals and Friday drinks. If you're bad at your job this is a great company to hide out for a couple of years doing nothing.

Cons

A boys club where the under-skilled sycophantic lackeys somehow land senior management jobs. The more brown nosing you do the more you progress. As company with so much potential it has squandered resources on hiring mediocre , substandard people in crucial positions.

Thanks for the feedback and we're sorry that you feel this way - this isn't how we want our alumni to feel about Siteminder when they leave. Having worked here for 3 years you'll know that we work continuously to improve everything at Siteminder, including our products, processes and the skills of our leadership team. In the last 12 months we have been able to hire some of the most talented people in their fields to lead our product, marketing and design teams, in addition to other senior leadership in the company. We've also created and rolled out management training for all of our people leaders throughout the business. We'd welcome the opportunity to discuss your observations so we can continue to improve - so please get in touch with us.

Pros

The software is useful. Sales Managers provide a good support system, and offer decent training. There is a clear path to move up the chain.

Cons

Although the core feature of the software is useful, I find it relatively one-dimensional. I mostly left because of the person that worked HR. Asking basic questions to get a rude response is not necessarily the best approach to reduce attrition, especially considering it is coming from someone that oversees my benefits. I read a review about there being a mean girls vibe. I can see where that is coming from. Ironically, from HR. The exit interview only reaffirmed that. Also, my recruiter shared that I wasn't the only one. The job itself isn't so bad, but is geared more towards recently graduated college students, and inexperienced sales people.

We're committed to creating a culture of feedback where HR is regularly getting feedback from employees so that we can continue to improve and make SiteMinder a great place to work. We do this through 3 and 6 month check-ins, monthly engagement pulse surveys and 360 leadership surveys. This way we can get live feedback from employees throughout their career at SiteMinder.
