Pros

One of the biggest banks in Europe and Worldwide. International Opportunities Good work-life balance. If you are in Madrid HQ and have schedule flexibility, you can enjoy the gym and practice other sports.

Cons

In the end your are working for a retail bank, and management focuses on developping this segment. Global Banking & Markets (which is like IB for Santander) is going through a review and is not considered key, so think about it if you want to pursue an IB career. I would not recommend starting in Santander
