Business Outlook
Pros
Working in rare disease, you felt close to the patient and had a real purpose to your work. Very entrepreneurial environment; people were able to move around and talented people could move up. It felt very much like working with family members (prior to the merger).
Cons
Post merger, GENZ seemed to be going more towards a P&L type company. Many to most of the former Genzyme people left...taking a lot of the culture with them.
