Pros

Nice culture, everyone is generally a kind person. So your work life isn't bad.

Cons

Traditional, slow to take risks or get up-to-date with technology. They don't offer a very competitive pay rate, but the benefits (healthcare) are pretty good, and there's free lunch every Friday. Although this doesn't outweigh the low pay.

Pros

The company as a whole tends to be employee focused. The benefits and perks are fantastic. More so than any other company I've worked for.

Cons

Most of the people tend to be very passive-aggressive regarding behavior and communications.

Pros

-real commitment to work-life balance and entirely reasonable hours -interesting work depending on your supervisor, and lots of opportunity to take on new responsibility

Cons

-management style (learning on the fly) not particularly helpful for new employees without prior publishing experience -need more hands-on approach -communication between superiors and lower-level employees not strong
