The talkers but not the walkers

Pros

They talk well. They talk transparency. They talk tech. They talk culture. They talk big.

Cons

It is as good as working in a small-sized panchayat unit where one listens to the manager, to the T, and does it to the T. That is the way to get a good appraisal. You dare to think different, is borne with. You are to do different, you're mercilessly shows your place. None of the current SVPs or Directors, excepting 1, (and that 1 person is NOT the MD) have the mettle (or metal) to walk the talk.

Pros

Benefits are good, especially maternity leave People are great

Cons

Remuneration is really low Promotions are hard to come by Loads of dead weight because people don't leave the company People often get stuck, because the tier above them is full of people who won't leave Instead of hiring people when some staff eventually do leave/ go on mat leave, their workload is shared out among the rest of the team, with no increase in remuneration. How is this fair?
