Pros
SAGE is well intentioned, goodwilled, and unique in its legitimate value of dignity in the workplace. The benefits and (now virtual) "office" culture walk that walk like it's NYFW. It's a place that makes it hard to be overly cynical without guilt, but easy to freely purge the right amount of cynical (also without guilt).
Cons
Sometimes great minds and good conversations become mired in polite inaction or, on the other side of the coin, unfounded temerity. Salary is also not keeping up with inflated cost of living -- publishing is a notoriously poorly paid industry anyway, but like many other corporations: it's getting hard to keep up with inflation.
