Pros

The flexible WFH opportunity and a good leave system. The work-life balance is as good as one can imagine it to be.

Cons

1) Very low compensation as compared to competitiors 2) Doesn't matter how good your performance is or how great and asset you are to the company - zero retention policy 3) The company once known for a fair and inclusive appraisal and promotion cycle has now the appraisal cycle mostly running on personal bias of the managers. I have seen so many talented people move to another company for the same . They have been training new recruits with all sincerity and will be sitting at the same designation and the new recruits soon jump up to their level or higher in no time if they have a way with their words with managers. 4) The promotions are simple - doesn't matter how your professional conduct or maturity is, just get good numbers as objectives and be your manager's favourite

Pros

Good feng shui; repeated consultations with feng shui master; prayers held in the office; relocated office to improve MD’s luck.

Cons

Some leaders manipulate information, sow discords among the team and bully to safeguard their authority and cover up their bad, erratic, bias and unethic behaviors. Promoted undeserving puppet, giving more staffs, budget, travel, simple tasks and entertaining to boost her profile.

Pros

I've been with SAGE a number of years, which is not unusual. People tend to stay, because the benefits are great, especially for parents. Maternity Leave is very generous and has allowed me to have 6 months fully paid with both my children. People are lovely and enjoy their jobs, for the most part. Bonuses can be generous, especially in Sales roles.

Cons

Pay grades are really low, compared to the market. People don't leave, so progression gets stunted relatively easily. When people do leave (due to lack of pay/ progression), their role duties are shared among colleagues, rather than recruiting new staff. Same with maternity cover. It's a shambles and very difficult for mat cover to pick up a role that has become multifaceted over a period of time - so the problem compounds. Diversity is lacking, but this is a sector issue, not just a SAGE issue.
