Sickly Sweet

Pros

Colleagues are nice. Hybrid working policy is fairly generous compared to the other big 5 academic publishers

Cons

Work culture feels sickly sweet. They claim to care about employees' mental health yet overwork everyone. Also feels like they're slowly trying to get rid of junior staff members or outsource their work.

Pros

Supportive, friendly environment, where you are actively encouraged to learn and develop your skills

Cons

The growth strategy never felt concrete enough. Progression pathways were unclear. Learning for learnings sake, as opposed to career development and promotion within the company
