Our HR team engages all employee referral candidates in the same screening and interview processes as other non-referral candidates, and they are not hired strictly due to the nature of their relationship with a current employee. And while it is true that Sage is highly supportive of current employees referring people they know for open roles (which may include friends, family members, or former professional/personal acquaintances), it is even more important that those referrals meet the posted qualifications of the roles for which they are applying to be considered for and hired into those positions. Once hired, it is then expected that all employees regardless of who may have referred them meet the ongoing and changing expectations for the position.
