Unprofessional, Broken Promises, Set for Failure

Pros

Good PTO if you are able to use, and reasonable health benefits

Cons

Backfill positions have been 8 months and counting in replacement, leaving one colleague to support a national independent sales force. Colleague is drowning and suffering physically and mentally. No reasons are given and no good reasons exist. Have gotten to the point of offer letters for candidates and those have not been put off for a month and continuing. One would assume that the campus is being shut down.

Continuous changes in direction and in the executive team

Pros

Sage tends to hire experienced, smart people who are team players.

Cons

Decisions are very much made top-down. Don't expect to have a say beyond your manager. Many processes are bureaucratic and broken. Executives are caught in a revolving door. A lot of long term people with deep knowledge have left.

Pros

Good colleagues. Average pay. Standard benefits.

Cons

Bonuses get downgraded every year as do raises based on mysterious "internal targets" that will never be met. It's very much a "shareholder first" company with customers and colleagues bringing up the rear. We're undergoing another round of stealth layoffs with more to come as the CEO forces people back to the office. So much for their green credentials as they force people to waste more hours of their lives sitting in traffic and burning fossil fuels so they can commute to the office and spend their days on Teams calls. It looks like the C-suite strategy is to increase their own short-term bonus potential and then ride off into retirement leaving the debris behind.
