Pros

They move you positions about every two years, good exposure to different areas within finance and the business. Some travel opportunities depending on which department you work in.

Cons

-Below market pay -Management hesitant to give you opportunities that you have proven you are capable of. -They will marginalize and squeeze you as much as they can. Truly a slave driver. -With no show of appreciation or care for their employees -Opportunities and management positions are given to inexperienced employees (still not sure why) when there are many higher qualified employees available. -Everything is a secret and as an employee you do not know where you are headed in your career. Lots of uncertainties regarding career advancement for such a structured organization. -Senior management lacks fundamental knowledge of finance and strategic management. -Financial HUB provides no privacy. No office or cubicles.

Pros

Chance to work for a global company; meet people of different nationalities; no overtime or holiday pay but can replace with paid vacation; medical benefits are good; relocation assistance provided

Cons

Large disparity of compensation for people coming from asia from those from europe; no housing allowance for some non-local employees; you get promoted faster if you suck up or a member of a certain race

Pros

1. Multicultural environment; 2. Training; 3. Technology; 4. There are extremely competent managers and employees; 5. Challenging; 6. Long term relationships, which increase the possibility of making true friends at work; 7. Lots of travel; 8. Lots of parties.

Cons

1. Too much pressure; 2. 14/15 hours a day is not enough; 3. Forget about personal life, work is all in your life from day 1; 4. Dual career maybe a problem when you have to swallow an incompetent manager because of his/her partner; 5. Support employees are underestimated, even if they are clearly 10 times better than operations guys; 6. Operations do not plan, do not understand that bureaucracy is a way of life in Latin America. Not planning, only increases pressure and enhances the likelihood of mistakes; 7. Bad payer in comparison to some competitors; 8. All the good job done in years may vanish if your manager do get along with you. SLP3 (annual appraisal) is torn and your work history is erased. You may become the worst employee ever, even if 19 out of 20 previous managers had you were above expectations.
