Pros

Great for recent college grads to get their foot in the door in consulting Pay MIGHT be slightly above average

Cons

12 hour+ days Semi-hostile work environment Untenable schedule - Meetings start at 7am due to offshore resources and meetings often ended at 5/6PM - You are expected to support both offshore and local time zones Due to hiring only college graduates as developers with no experience often senior consultants/managers and even executive managers were doing code review and auditing 16 hours of 'developers time' AFTER having 8 hours of meetings all day.

Pros

Work flexibility - mostly remote

Cons

I'll make this short as recent reviews covered the issues at SDG (USA). - Executive Leadership group is incompetent - Zero accountability at a management level - 12-16 hour work days + weekends - No guidance or direction on projects - dishonesty with clients (i.e over promising and under delivering) - significant lack of communication to team leads - culture is non existent. Leadership group doesn't even attempt to build a culture. - Business model doesn't work - Client feedback is often negative due to over promising of deliverables - Junior members are left out to dry with no training - Senior level takes all blame for inevitable project failures and mishaps - Toxic work culture - Burnout is very high - Massive turnover at a senior level. Most won't last more than two years. - Pay is below industry standards If you're considering an offer from SDG Group, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere to better your career.
