      Pros

      The People Diversity Benefits aren't bad. Profit share is good, but you'd have to work there for several years to see the benefit

      Cons

      Have to manage very large teams whilst juggling project/initiatives, continuous improvements, headcount reductions,extensive SOX controls, hypothetical transactional role conflicts, and occasionally the actual job... Turnover of staff is 20+% per year Managers/Vice presidents/Senior Vice presidents all over the place.

      Peers are nice...that's about all I got

      Extremely conservative culture, refuse to change with the times, brands are no longer relevant, management is abysmal at best; the company thinks it's better than anyone else and refuses to embrace outside ideas; strong "not made here" mentality. Far cry from being an entrepreneurial culture. WAY too many layers (3 levels of directors vs 1 level of manager - who, by the way, are not allowed to be people managers??? Come On! Where's the opportunity for growth???)

      SC Johnson business side great, IT lacking

      Pros

      Working with the business side has been very enjoyable with very loyalty staff and dedication to a high standard.

      Cons

      The IT organization is one of the poorest run one’s I’ve ever been in. Lack of direction, tight budgets, lack of vision, and not seen as a partner, but an object to go around.
