Pros

- If you have a global role it is really easy to utilize a flexible schedule to balance work/life. - Depending on your role and location, there are Summer hours (half day on Friday between Memorial Day and Labor Day). - Holidays given include the days between Christmas and New Year, which is great for traveling home to family. - Location. I wasn't thrilled about moving to Racine, WI, but there is more to offer than dreary/cold weather; beautiful fall colors, close to Lake Michigan, close to Milwaukee and Chicago, and sales tax is much lower than where I'm from (which was great when purchasing a car!) - They have support groups for diversity (Women, Hispanic, African American, Disabilities, LBGTQ, etc). - There are perks to being in Racine: company store, rec facility, park, child care center.

Cons

Global roles can lead to very odd hours worked. I personally have not felt pressured to work those crazy hours in addition to the normal "9-5", but I can see how some may feel obligated. Child care facility is expensive. It's a great perk that it is close to work, but I think it's a bit above market value for Racine. It's probably cost effective if you are a Chicago or Milwaukee resident. Coming from a publicly traded company, I was optimistic about going to a privately owned company; but I see many of the things that drove me nuts about the publicly owned company going on here. For example: travel restrictions at quarter or year end to hit financial targets, making short term cost cutting decisions instead of looking at investing in long term infrastructure.
